The outcome of the Pedestrian Gate survey has proved unreliable, as there appears to have been a considerable amount of irregular voting. Even when we strip out these votes, we cannot be confident of the accuracy of the survey.
Given that this issue has proved to be quite contentious in the estate, the residents association believe that this matter may be more complex than catered for by a simple majority vote.
Therefore, we have agreed to let the issue rest for now, and believe it will be better addressed at the AGM in the summer via an open forum.
Hi all – South Dublin County Council has recently announced a community scheme which makes a number of smoke alarms available to vulnerable and older residents of the county free of charge. Click on this link or the image above to find further details of this worthwhile scheme, which also includes the necessary application form. We are more than happy to help any residents apply for, and install these alarms, so please let us know if we can help (email firstname.lastname@example.org). If you think a nearby neighbour might benefit from this scheme, please let them know.
