AGM 2019

Venue : The Eden House Pub
Date : Tuesday 7th May 2019
Time : 7.00 p.m

Greetings from Boden Park Residents Association. A very special welcome to the many new families that have moved into Boden Park in recent times. After a period of “semi-hibernation” the Resident’s Association is delighted to be back – and we need new blood!

The BPRA annual general meeting will take place on the above date in the Eden House Pub, Grange Road, Rathfarnham. All residents are welcome and we would be delighted to see some new faces. The association has been quiet of late, and we really need some new committee members to re-energise the Resident’s Association.

There is lots going on in the area at the moment. Many of you have been in touch regarding the Orlagh Roundabout. It is also likely that South Dublin County Council will seek to cause similar mayhem at the Templeroan Roundabout. This is the roundabout nearest to Boden Park.

Planning permissions are underway for the Cosgrave site on Scholarstown Road, despite evidence that the site is of archaeological importance. All of this will have a significant impact on traffic in the area, which is already extremely problematic. With local councillors all looking for your vote next month, this is a really important time to make your feelings known.

We look forward to seeing you on the night. If anyone has any specific issues that they would like raised, please email these in advance. Finally, for occasional email updates from BPRA, please email your contact details to bodenpark@gmail.com

Boden Park cleaned from top to toe.

18We’d like to thank all of those who contributed to the clean ups in Boden Park recently.  A huge effort was made by all to spruce up our estate, and I think you can see from the Glen to the Avenue the whole place is looking a whole lot tidier than before.  Rubbish won’t stop accumulating, and weeds/leaves won’t disappear so  a special mention should be made to all of those who  keep cleaning , keep picking up litter, keep waste at bay all year round – not just on clean up days. They put on their work gloves, give up their valuable time and selflessly  make our home a better place.  Thank you.

Newletter September 2015

The September 2015 newsletter is available now online. Click on the image to the left to download it.

It includes minutes from the recent AGM and details of the 2015 committee.

Niall Garvey stepped down as Treasurer and Katherine Kelly has assumed the role. John Bourke stepped down from the committee. Eoin Ryan (since the AGM) joined the committee. Since the
AGM, Shane Brennan, for personal reasons, has had to step down from the role of Chairman and a replacement Chairman is urgently needed. This is a very rewarding role and is a great way of getting to know your neighbours and your locality. Shane remains on the committee and will be a guiding hand to support the incumbent in any way he can.
The Green is now the only road without committee representation, so please make yourself known if you wish to represent your road.

A special thank you must go out to both Shane and Niall. Both were exceptional as Chairperson and Treasurer respectively. Each brought a lot of energy to these roles and Boden park is without question a better place due to their selfless efforts. Well done and best of luck.

Cinema Night: The Goonies at the Green

Boden Park Residents’ association is proud to present an outdoor screening at the Green on Saturday the 5th of September at 8.45 pm of Steven GooniesSpielberg’s classic movie the The Goonies. The 1985 American adventure comedy film  was directed by Richard Donner, and introduced the world to One-Eyed Willy, the legendary 17th-century pirate. Bring a picnic,  popcorn,  chairs and a blanket/sleeping bag (to keep warm). It should be a great night for all the family. See you there!
